“Notice of Names of Persons Appearing to Be Owners of Checks Issued by the Town of Saugus, Which Have Not Been Cashed and are Deemed Abandoned”
The above is a list of apparent owners of abandoned property. Under Massachusetts General Law checks that have been issued by the Town of Saugus, which have not been cashed are deemed abandoned under Chapter200A, Section 9A.
Fortunately, the law provides a simple procedure for you to recover your property. If you feel you are the owner of abandoned property as your name appears on the list above, simply contact the Town of Saugus Treasurer’s Office to obtain an Abandoned Property Claim Form or go to our web site at www.saugus-ma.gov and download a copy of the claim form. Complete all information as requested. Without it we will not be able to process your claim. If you have moved within the past five (5) years, please
include any previous addresses.
Please mail the Abandoned Property Claim form to the Town of Saugus Treasurer, Wendy Hatch, 298 Central Street, Saugus, MA 01906.
Once your claim form is received we will review it and issue the proper payment to you within two weeks.
