Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree and Fire Chief Michael Newbury Announce Appointment of Four New Firefighters

(Saugus, MA) April 10, 2017 – Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree and Saugus Fire Chief Michael Newbury are pleased to announce the appointment of four new firefighters: Matthew Smith, Joshua Mullen, Sean Bohannon, and Martin Hyppolite.

The new firefighters were sworn into their roles on April 10, 2017 at the Town Hall, with members of the department, Town hall staff, family, and friends in attendance to show their support.

“I am proud to appoint Firefighters Smith, Mullen, Bohannon, and Hyppolite to the Saugus Fire Department,” said Town Manager Crabtree. “These men will be a great asset to the Town and I wish them the best success in their new roles.”

Chief Newbury echoed the Town Manager’s sentiments, and added that he looked forward to these firefighters serving the community.

“It’s always exciting to have new department members. It always brings a new enthusiasm, so having four new firefighters on at the same time is a good feeling,” Chief Newbury concluded.
