Town of Saugus Undergoes Beautification for Start of Summer

(Saugus, MA) June 28, 2016 – Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree and the Board of Selectmen are working together to enhance Town beautification for the start of summer. As a way to promote pride within Saugus, floral baskets and American flag buntings were hung throughout the Town.

The busy downtown streets of Saugus Center and Cliftondale Square are decorated with lovely pink ivy geranium hanging baskets. To complement the flower baskets, red, white, and blue starred and striped buntings adorn the historic Town Hall building. The buntings, which drape from the front doorway and windows, serve as a way to honor this year’s patriotic holidays.

In addition, the Town’s red and white crosswalks and yellow street curbings have been re-painted.

“I would like to thank the Department of Public Works, the Building Maintenance Department, and the Town’s staff for all their hard work in ensuring the Town looks as beautiful as possible,” said Town Manager Crabtree. “Next time you’re walking or driving through Cliftondale Square or Saugus Center, please take a moment to admire these striking recent additions.”
