The Saugus Water Department and its personnel provide clean, safe drinking water to the residents and businesses of the Town of Saugus that meet or exceed all State and Federal standards with the highest level of customer service.

Water Reading & Billing Schedule

Schedule Final Water Reading

• Appointments for Final Water Readings must be made 2 weeks prior to closing date. They are only performed on Thursdays, and schedules fill fast.  If you call less than 2 weeks before your closing, we cannot guarantee you a spot on the schedule.  You may have to escrow/hold back, an estimated amount, at your closing.
• Final Water Readings are only performed on Thursday & Tag/Seal appointments are usually performed on Wednesday. 
• Call (781) 231-4139 to schedule. You cannot schedule a final via email - must call office.  
• Final invoices will be prepared after the readings from the Town are matched to the emailed meter pictures.  They will be sent to you, (if an email has been provided), once the invoice is created.  It will take 24-48 hours from the time of the readings, for you to receive the final invoice.
• Finals are considered good for 30 days, after that time, a new final must be requested. 

Service Companies/3rd party document requests

We do not supply duplicate invoice copies to 3rd party servicing vendors.  You can fill out the Water/Sewer change form and update the billing to your servicing company directly, but we will not supply duplicate invoices via email.  For billing/payment history summaries - email MeterTech@saugus-ma.gov
