Children, Parents, Educators, Residents, Town Officials Invited to Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Evans Park

(Saugus, MA) November 2, 2019 – Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree and the Saugus Board of Selectmen are pleased to invite Saugus children, residents, Town officials, employees, and, business owners to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the two brand-new basketball courts at Evans Park.  The ceremony will take place at Evans Park on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.

The new reconfigured park features two new, regulation-sized basketball courts, new surrounding sidewalks and granite curbing and reconfigured parking. Security cameras and lighting will also be installed as part of the project to increase safety and security on the premises.

The upgrades, which were supported by the Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, and Town Meeting earlier this year, are part of an ongoing effort to continue to improve the Town’s parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields for the children and families of Saugus.

“The Board of Selectmen and I are absolutely thrilled to invite everyone to attend, visit, and use the new Evans Park,” said Town Manager Crabtree. “I encourage children, parents, Town officials, and residents to take a few minutes out of their busy schedules to come to Evans Park on Monday night, November 4th and help us celebrate the completion of this exciting project and the fruits of the Town’s support.”

The ceremony will take place at Evans Park at the corner of Winter and Central streets, Saugus, on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
