Town Manager Announces Appointment of John Fralick as the New Director of Public Health

(Saugus, MA) July 9, 2020 – – Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree is pleased to announce the appointment of  John Fralick III as the new Director of Public Health.  Mr. Fralick will begin his new role on Monday, July 13, 2020.  He has spent the last decade working in public health for the Town of Stoneham. While in Stoneham, Fralick has worked as the Director of the health department overseeing a department which serves more than 20,000 people.

“I’m very pleased to support the appointment of John to Health Director here in Saugus,” Town Manager Scott Crabtree said, “John has a record of accomplishments in the field of public health which is needed now more than ever during this Pandemic.  I believe he’ll bring fresh ideas, energy, and positive outlook which will only benefit our community now and in the future.” 

“I can’t begin to thank the Town of Saugus for this opportunity, I’m excited to bring my 12 years of public health experiences to Saugus and to enhance the level of services to the residents of Saugus,”  Fralick stated. 

Prior to his time in Stoneham, Fralick worked as an Inspector for the Board of Health in Beverly.  Fralick holds a Bachelor of Science in Health from Bridgewater State University.  He has numerous certifications including being a Registered Environmental Health Specialist-Registered Sanitarian (RS) from the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA).
