Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree, Saugus Police Dept. Announce Promotion of Sgt. Arthur Connors, Jr. to Lt.

(Saugus, MA) September 13, 2017 – Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree and Saugus Police Chief Domenic DiMella are pleased to announce the promotion of Sergeant Arthur Connors, Jr. to Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Connors, who holds his Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from North Shore Community College, has served on the department for more than 13 years. He was sworn into his new role on August 23, 2017 with members of the department, Town hall staff, family, and friends in attendance to show their support.

“I am honored to appoint Lieutenant Connors,” said Town Manager Crabtree. “I wish him the best success in this new and challenging role.”

Over the years Lieutenant Connors has received 10 letters of commendation for his work in the patrol force, including instances in which he apprehended an armed robber, apprehended a bank robber, negotiated with a suicidal male, performed lifesaving CPR, and more.
