Raffle and Bazaar Permits

Raffle/Bazaar permit applications are available in the Town Clerk’s office.

A “Raffle”, an arrangement for any organization raising money by the sale of tickets, certain among which, as determined by chance after the sale entitle the holder to prizes.

A “Bazaar”, a place maintained by the sponsoring organization for disposal of merchandise awards by means of chance.

Before applying for a Raffle or Bazaar Permit, please search the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 271 Sections 7, 7A, and 17 for detailed information regarding fines for running illegal charitable fundraisers at: https://malegislature.gov/laws/generallaws/partiv/titlei/chapter271/section7a

Applications must be completed in triplicate and approved by the Chief of Police before this office may issue a permit.

Raffle/Bazaar Permit Fee$50.00
