Meet our Designer: HMFH Architects

HMFH Architects is the Designer for the Saugus High School Project. Based out of Cambridge, HMFH has executed 14 projects through the MSBA, including Winthrop Middle/High School, Hanover High School, and Tahanto Regional Middle/High School.

HMFH currently has five projects with the MSBA: three are under construction, and two are in the Study phase. In total, the firm has designed 23 high schools and five middle/high school combinations.

HMFH is widely known for its excellence in the planning and design of schools that foster and support creative approaches to learning. This design firm is recognized as a leader in the design of innovative learning environments.

HMFH’s work, noted for its user-centered design and energetic use of color, has been exhibited nationally and has been featured in numerous publications on school planning and design as well as national journals like Architectural Record and The Boston Globe.

Lori Cowles, Principal: Lori has 20 years of experience with HMFH, and two years of experience with other firms. She is the Project Manager for the Clark Avenue School in Chelsea, which is currently under construction. She has also worked on Hanover High School, Thompson Elementary School in Arlington, and Williams Middle School Complex in Chelsea.

Tina Stanislaski, Principal: Tina has 11 years of experience with HMFH and five years of experience with related firms. She recently completed the new Winthrop Middle/High School project, and is the Project Manager for an integrated high school and career technical center in New Hampshire

Dr. Frank Locker, Educational Planner: Frank has 10 years of experience with HMFH, and another 30 years of experience with related firms. He has worked on Millis Public Schools, The Thacher School in Ojai, California, and Chariho Regional School District in Wood River Junction, Rhode Island.

The Saugus High School Project Building Committee is extremely excited to continue working with HMFH Architects during the design phase of the Saugus High School Project.
