Solid Waste / Recycling Department

The Town of Saugus provides residents with curbside pick-up of trash and recycling of paper, cardboard, containers including glass bottles/jars, milk/juice cartons, and plastics with symbols numbered 1 through 7. In addition, the town provides a compost site, seasonal pick up of yard waste, and a CHaRM facility for items not eligible for curbside recycling. The CHaRM center and compost area are located behind the Saugus Department of Public Works at 515 Main Street.

 

Recycling Drop-Off Site

This winter, the recycling drop-off site will be open to residents on the third Saturday of the month:

WHEN:       8 a.m. – 2 p.m.           January 21     -     February 18      -     March 18

WHERE:        Behind the Department of Public Works at 515 Main Street

Residents may access this site for the proper recycling of everything we take curbside in the bin:

paper, cardboard, co-mingle,  as well as rigid plastic, scrap metal, clothing, textiles,  straight fluorescent tubes, tires, TVs and computers.

 

Household Hazardous Waste Day

Household Hazardous Waste Day will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
