The above link is to the current list of apparent owners of abandoned property. Under Massachusetts General Law checks that have been issued by the Town of Saugus, which have not been cashed are deemed abandoned under Chapter 200A, Section 9A. Fortunately, the law provides a simple procedure for you to recover your property. If you feel you are the owner of abandoned property as your name appears on the list above, simply complete the Abandoned Property Claim Form.

Complete all information as requested. FORM HERE  Without it we will not be able to process your claim.  MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF A VALID ID Without it we will not be able to process your claim. 

Please email the Abandoned Property Claim form to jferraro@saugus-ma.gov and put Unclaimed Property in the subject line or mail the form to the Town of Saugus, Treasurer’s Office, c/o Janice Ferraro, Assistant Treasurer/Collector, 298 Central Street, Suite 5, Saugus, MA 01906. Once your claim form is received, we will review it and issue the proper payment to you with 30-45 days.
