Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree Announces Appointment of Tony Wyman as Human Resources Director

(Saugus, MA) October 8, 2020 – Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Wyman as the new Human Resources Director for the Town of Saugus. Wyman, who has years of professional experience in human resources and public service, began in his new role last month.

“I am happy to welcome Tony to the role of Human Resources Director for the Town of Saugus,” said Town Manager Crabtree. “Tony holds extensive experience and advanced knowledge of human resources, public service and municipal government, which will make him an asset to our community, residents and employees.”

Wyman most recently worked as a Labor Relations Specialist for the Executive Office of Health and Human Services in Boston. Prior to that, Wyman served as the Director of Human Resources at Swampscott Public Schools. He also worked as a Supervisory Human Resources Assistant at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Bedford, Mass., and as a Human Resources Assistant for the New England College of Optometry in Boston.

Wyman holds his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Fitchburg State University, and he holds his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Salem State University.

The Human Resources Department assists Town officials to create and administer policies and practices that attract, develop and sustain a motivated, diverse and high performing municipal workforce and work environment.  The Department administers the Personnel Bylaw, maintains compensation and benefits plans; coordinates recruitment, orientation, professional development and employee recognition activities.  The Department strives to ensure that everyone is afforded equal protection under the law.
