Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree, Town Clerk Announce Addition of Official Ballot Drop Box Outside Town Hall for Contactless, Secure Ballot Return

(Saugus, MA) October 13, 2020 – Saugus Town Manager Scott C. Crabtree and Town Clerk Ellen Schena are pleased to announce that the Town of Saugus has acquired and installed an Official Ballot Drop Box outside Town Hall for residents to return their ballots for the upcoming election in a contactless, secure and convenient manner.

The Ballot Drop Box is located outside at the front entrance to Saugus Town Hall, 298 Central Street, to the right of the front stairs. The ballots in the Drop Box will routinely be retrieved by the Town’s certified election staff.

Absentee ballots for the State/Presidential Election on Nov. 3, 2020 have been mailed out to residents. Please take notice of the following important upcoming election dates and deadlines:

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 – Friday, Oct. 30: Early Voting
  • Saturday, Oct. 24: Last Day to Register to Vote/Make Changes to Voter Registration
  • Monday, Nov. 2: Last Day to Apply for Absentee Ballot (must be done by 12 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3: State/Presidential Election

Only election ballots should be placed in the Ballot Drop Box.
